Mepilex Ag 20×20 cm is a large, sterile antimicrobial foam dressing designed for moderate to heavily exuding wounds. It combines an absorbent polyurethane foam with silver (Ag) to reduce bacterial load and minimise infection risk while maintaining a moist healing environment.

The dressing uses Safetac® soft silicone technology, allowing gentle adhesion to surrounding skin without sticking to the wound bed—helping reduce pain and tissue damage during dressing changes.

🔹 Indications (Uses)

Suitable for large wounds such as:

• Leg and foot ulcers
• Pressure ulcers
• Partial-thickness burns
• Surgical and post-operative wounds
• Traumatic wounds and infected wounds (under supervision)

🔹 Application & Wear Time

• Clean wound and dry surrounding skin before application
• Ensure dressing overlaps wound margins (≈3–5 cm for larger wounds)
• Secure with secondary fixation if needed
• Can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on exudate level and clinical assessment
