Mepilex Ag 20×50 cm is an extra-large sterile antimicrobial foam dressing designed for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds, particularly those requiring extensive coverage. It combines a soft absorbent polyurethane foam with silver (Ag) to reduce bacterial load and minimise infection risk while maintaining a moist healing environment.

It incorporates Safetac® soft silicone technology, enabling gentle adhesion to the surrounding skin without sticking to the wound bed—reducing pain and trauma during dressing changes.

🔹 Indications (Uses)

Suitable for large or complex wounds such as:

• Leg and foot ulcers
• Pressure ulcers
• Partial-thickness burns
• Surgical and traumatic wounds
• Infected wounds (under medical supervision)

🔹 Application & Wear Time

• Clean wound and dry surrounding skin before application
• Ensure dressing overlaps wound edges by at least ~2 cm
• Secure with secondary fixation if needed
• Can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on exudate and clinical condition
