Mepilex Border Sacrum 16×20 cm is a sterile, self-adherent, anatomically shaped sacral foam dressing designed for the management and prevention of pressure ulcers in the sacral (tailbone) area. It is a five-layer advanced foam dressing with Safetac® soft silicone technology, allowing gentle adhesion to surrounding skin while avoiding trauma to the wound bed.

Its sacral shape is specifically designed to fit the lower back and buttock region, providing secure coverage and helping reduce pressure, shear, and friction in high-risk patients.

🔹 Indications (Uses)

Suitable for:

• Pressure ulcer prevention (especially immobile patients)
• Sacral pressure injuries (stage 1–4 under clinical guidance)
• Surgical wounds in sacral area
• Moderate to heavily exuding wounds
• Pilonidal sinus surgery sites

It is often used both for treatment and prevention (prophylactic use) in high-risk patients such as those in ICU or long-term bed rest.

• Apply to clean, dry skin
• Position so the sacral shape fully covers the tailbone and surrounding high-risk area
• Can be used under repositioning protocols or pressure-relief care
• Wear time: typically up to 5–7 days, depending on wound condition and exudate level
